Reviews of Diagramming components ?

A Mackie

10/18/2004 9:02:00 AM

Does anyone have links to reviews of .net diagramming components, and comparisons between them ? I need to provide drag + drop components from a tool-box, add connectors, annotate with text, etc. , to create business process diagrams, workflows, and the like. Ideally component should provide high-functionality, low-cost, no run-time royalty fees, pure .net, etc.

Possible options:
GoDiagram for .NET http://www.nwoods.com/go/...
Dundas Diagram for .NET http://www.dundas.com/products/diagram/index.aspx?Secti...
FlowChart.NET http://www.mindfusion.org/flowchar...
Nevron Diagram http://www.nevron.com/Diagramming.aspx?nav=DiagramWinFormsNav&content=Diagr...
AddFlow for .NET http://www.lassalle.com...
ERM Diagram http://www.crainiate.net/products/erm/d...
MetaDraw http://www.bennet-tec.com/btproducts/MetaDraw/Me...

What experiences of the above have people had ? Hopefully someone has reviewed these before, so I don't need to re-invent the wheel.

Thanks,
Andy Mackie.

I would also like to know which package is best for me (with a small budget)?
I would like be able to draw state charts and similar diagrams,
interactively, to configure and design my software solutions.

Try Diagram.NET.

This is a diagram control that i'm doing. Open-source, totaly free.

Nowadays in alpha version.

New functions, like text and image, will be implemented soon on next
version.

I have used FlowChart.NET and AddFlow in several of my projects and am
totally happy with those components. I tried also GoDiagram and
TomSawyers's controls but found those unnecessary complex and
expensive. I hope that helps.
