Need advice on parallel computing

Hi All,

I have a project:
1. Start an .exe from a .NET application;
2. The exe launches new processes on each machine on the
network of the department to carry out a
distributed/parallel computing;
3. The exe assign each ?remote? process a job and monitor
the progress;
4. The exe collects all the results from each machine.

What kind of technology is adequate for this project?
Where can I find sample code of doing a similar job?
