See if this gets you started.

SELECT step,
JobName,
Status
FROM workflowJobStatus_vw
WHERE WorkFlowNo = 42
UNION ALL
SELECT step,
JobName,
Status='None'
FROM WorkFlowDetail as A
WHERE WorkFlowName = dbo.GetWorkFlowName_fn(42)
AND NOT EXISTS
(select * from workflowJobStatus_vw as B
where A.WorkFlowNo = 42
and A.step = B.step
and A.JobName = B.JobName)
ORDER BY step

You are awsome! Ive been struggling with that for 3 days now..
backburning it after trying different misguided things... I had to
tweak it and the view a little bit to get it to work (mainly becuase
old runs in history were being identified in that NOT EXISTS, but now
I have a inline function that given the workflowno, returns all steps
with status for any that had a status on that run! Very valuable
technique.

Thank you Thank you!

Omar Sheikh, a British-born Islamist militant, is waiting to be hanged in
Pakistan for a murder he almost certainly didn't commit - of the Wall Street
Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in 2002. Both the US government and Pearl's
wife have since acknowledged that Sheikh was not responsible. Yet the
Pakistani government is refusing to try other suspects newly implicated in
Pearl's kidnap and murder for fear the evidence they produce in court might
acquit Sheikh and reveal too much.

Significantly, Sheikh is also the man who, on the instructions of General
Mahmoud Ahmed, the then head of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence
(ISI), wired $100,000 before the 9/11 attacks to Mohammed Atta, the lead
hijacker. It is extraordinary that neither Ahmed nor Sheikh have been
charged and brought to trial on this count. Why not?

If the 9-11 Commission is really looking for a smoking gun, it should look
no further than at Lieutenant-General Mahmoud Ahmad, the director of the
Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) at the time.

In early October 2001, Indian intelligence learned that Mahmoud had ordered
flamboyant Saeed Sheikh - the convicted mastermind of the kidnapping and
killing of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl - to wire US$100,000
from Dubai to one of hijacker Mohamed Atta's two bank accounts in Florida.

I still don't think 911 was a false flag attack but the 911 commision did
leave out some obvious details.

Well Seon, that story definitely says what you claim. However, the article
is headed "Comment" and is written by Michael Meacher. The By line at the
bottom of the article says "Michael Meacher is Labour MP for Oldham West
and Royton. He was environment minister 1997-2003". Now... given that half
of what politicians say is bull and the other half is shit...

I'll need more convincing.

That article also says "Mahmoud's involvement in September 11 might be
dismissed as only Indian propaganda."

I'm tempted to agree.

More evidence required.

Why what would the Indians have to gain to lie about ISI involvement? Have
they had a history of aggression against Pakistan? Also do you think the
recent hostage situation in India could be propaganda as well?
I'd suggest you watch the beginning of fabled enemies but you'd probably
laugh. That's actually pretty good before it gets into the building 7 crap
and the bombs in wtc.
