Feel free to point...

Microsoft turned off its newsgroup server, but the community resource
lives on. You just need to know where to look for it.

Hi Karl,

Thanks to everyone posting the alternatives I am now watching both this
newsgroup and the comp.lang.basic.visul.misc group. I would hate to
think we would lose all of the good help that has been available over
the years to the VB users.

comp.lang.basic.visual.misc seems to be a snakepit of trolls who seems to
like to troll me, either by stupid butter cookies who like to post links to
bs websites, or name anagream using douche holes who have nothing better to
do that point out what a caustic individual I am (which is truye, I admit).

Needless to say, it's a haven for losers at this point. Have your killfile
switch handy.

Trolls get bored when hungry. :-)

Microsoft's newsgroup server is still running.

So they're not turned off as you said. Perhaps in anticipation of?

It was written long ago. In the interim, the vast majority of groups
have been removed from there server. The remaining ones have all been
given a death sentence. So, yeah, they are "dead men walking" at this
point. It's pretty much a meaningless distinction. How bored are you,
anyway?

Dude, your message explicitly said the servers were turned off. It was
incorrect, plain and simple. No amount of "You know what I mean" alters that
fact that your statement was incorrect.
