Suggestion for site improvement

Lloyd Linklater

I have seen many a thread on this site get derailed. The longer the
thread, the less likely that you will read a post on the original
subject.

I suggest that a tree version of threads be used. This way, when
someone goes off subject and many people follow that thread, it will be
a good deal easier to find those posts which stick to the subject. For
that matter, it will also be easier to follow the posts that stick to
the tangent of interest.

The ruby-forum.com web site is just a front-end for a number of
mailing lists, including the one that you just posted to (the
ruby-talk mailing list). If you have suggestions about how the
ruby-forum.com web site should be managed, please send those
suggestions to that site's webmaster.
