SJIS conversion question

I'm working on a project in which I need to convert some text with X0208
alphabet characters to ascii and back. NKF does the former efficiently,
but I can't find any options for doing the latter.

Does anyone know a good way of doing this, or am I stuck using a messy
lookup table?
