How Pretty is your code?

I've just uploaded my new ruby project Pretty. It's simple tool to check
your code. In release 0.1 it checks:
- 1st line for shebang
- how long are lines, how many tabulations you use, do you use ;
In next release i'll add check for global variables and maybe more

Hm, what if I don't want a shebang line for example in a library file
which should not run as an independant script?

By the way the actual version on rubyforge has a bug in line 22 if there
is no shebang line in a file. Do you know the difference between = and <<?

The most Ruby programmers use two spaces for indentination, so there will
be no tabs everywhere. ;-)

The idea of checking some coding rules can be helpful but be aware about
the assumtions you take. ;-)

Bug in line 22 is now fixed. Error of no shebang is changed. Added error
for using global variables.

Watching the trailer reminded me of how Oboobuh demonized the oil
industry, placing a moratorium on drilling in the gulf. The result was
for platforms pulling anchor and heading south to help Oboobuh's
buddy, George Soros/Petrobras, were Oboobuh gave $2 billion of tax
payer money. Indirectly Oboobuh gave that money to China because
Petrobras is drilling in Cuba for the commies.

Atlas Shrugged is about how government works against
freedom/Capitalism, stomping on free market ideas, promoting who it
wants at the top of the Socialist/Commie ladder.

I was read an article about Ayn Rand in the WSJ last week, and it said
she was just as hated among conservatives as among liberals. As an
Atheist, her contempt for religion turned off most right-wing
conservatives. Further alienating her from the right was her support
for abortion rights, as well as her opposition to racism and the
Vietnam war.

Oddly enough, none of these traditionally left-wing positions won her
any support among liberals, presumably because she was so pro-
capitalist. Hated by left and right alike, Ayn Rand fits very well in
the libertarian movement, which itself is hated by conservatives and
liberals, because its philosophy of freedom contradicts their own
totalitarian agendas.
