*Softwareentwicklerin/Softwareentwicklers*
(Vollzeit)

zu besetzen.

Die Tätigkeit umfasst die Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung der
Bildarchivanwendung "pandora".

Aufgaben:

- Anwendungsprogrammierung auf Basis von Ruby on Rails und MySQL zur
Weiterentwicklung und Pflege der Bildarchivanwendung
- Benutzersupport
- Einbindung von Bilddatenbanken
- vertretungsweise Administration der Projektserver (Linux)

Anforderungen:

- abgeschlossenes FH-Studium der Informatik oder gleichwertige
Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen durch mehrere Jahre Tätigkeit in der
Softwareentwicklung
- hervorragende Kenntnisse in Ruby, Rails und MySQL
- Vertrautheit mit GNU/Linux, Bash, JavaScript/Ajax, (X)HTML, CSS,
XML und Subversion
- darüber hinaus wären Kenntnisse in mehreren der folgenden Bereiche
wünschenswert: C (definitiv ein Plus); Apache, Mongrel, Ferret (bzw.
Lucene), Git; Agile Methoden/XP, TDD; Serveradministration (Debian,
Red Hat), Virtualisierung, Clustering; Automatische Indexierung,
Information Retrieval
- erwartet werden sowohl fundierte praktische Programmiererfahrungen
als auch umfassende theoretische Kenntnisse der Softwareentwicklung
- gute Englischkenntnisse

- Eingruppierung in Entgeltgruppe 10 TV-L (bei Vorliegen der
tariflichen Voraussetzungen)

Allgemeines:

prometheus ist ein verteiltes, digitales Bildarchiv, das
verschiedene, heterogene Bilddatenbanken unter einer gemeinsamen
Oberfläche recherchierbar macht und für die kunst- und
kulturhistorische Forschung und Lehre zur Verfügung stellt.
Anfänglich ein vom BMBF gefördertes Projekt finanziert es sich
inzwischen über ein Lizenzmodell. Der Arbeitsplatz befindet sich in
Köln.

Bewerbungen schwerbehinderter Menschen sind besonders willkommen.
Schwerbehinderte Menschen werden bei gleicher Eignung bevorzugt.
Bewerbungen von Frauen werden ausdrücklich erwünscht. Frauen werden
bei gleicher Eignung, Befähigung und fachlicher Leistung bevorzugt
berücksichtigt, sofern nicht in der Person eines Mitbewerbers

Well wonderful for you. I own three vehicles, all paid for with cash. I
don't currently own a truck as I have no need for one although I have
owned several. I don't need a government hand out (like simple-minded
wet pantie liberals do) as I am retired, completely out of debt and am
financially independent.

As I said before, not everybody can buy a truck in Hussein economy. So
where is you point besides on top of your pointy head?

Is that what you did? I bought new ones and use them to work,

I see "financially independent" doesn't register with you. So much for
you being a success in business.

I assume by "free medical care" you are referring to those on Medicare.
Even those on Medicare pay monthly Medicare premiums. The only people
getting free medical care are the losers who stand around for the
"gumment" to take care of them and illegal aliens.
