Anyone can devise a patented technology to protect anything, that
doesn't mean manufacturers will ever adopt it. And the market for 3D
printers will be competitive like every other market for this type of
thing, no manufacturer is going to willingly add some cumbersome
protection technology that cranks up cost and complexity. I also highly
doubt such a technology could ever be legislated into use and forced
upon manufacturers. The article is a lot of speculative, slanted raving.
