[HighLine] stty: stdin isn't a terminal

fedzor

Hey

I'm in the middle of writing shell as a part of Rubyunix, I am using
HighLine::SystemExtensions to get each character (so that I may check
to see if it is a reserved keystroke).

Basically, here's my error:
http://pastie.caboo...

I absolutely cannot figure this out. In all of the other times that
I've used this piece of code and tested it out, it has never done
this to me before.

To clarify what is happening, it is thorwing the 'stty: stdin isn't a
terminal' AFTER it processes the command and is redisplaying the prompt.

If there's anything else you need me to disclose, please tell me.

Thanks,

I can't seem to see this paste at the moment. :/

Do you have the termios gem installed?

That's the preferred method for HighLine to handle these issues. Can
you try installing it and see if it helps?

It didn't stop Johnson from sending over half a million American soldiers to fight in Vietnam.

Or George "Worthless" Bush from his "Shock and Awe" in Iraq.

Now Obama thinks China is still living in the Qing Dynasty!!!

Don't be too sure about trading American lives in exchange for some rocks on the wrong side of the Pacific. Honoring American lives takes precedent over some rocks. Not only are the rocks not worth a single Americam life, they're not even worth a dip in the president's rating.

I still believe it is a matter of principle. Do you know how many
Americans have lost their lives during previous world wars? Do you
know how many Americans have died in Afghanistan and Iraq? And more
will die...

None died for pieces of rock.

In the 2nd Iraq war(the one prosecuted by HW Bush), none died for any principle. In fact, they all died for a lie (the non-existent WMD).

Did you read that they all have been moved to Syria overnight? That's
why Syria has tons of WMD...

The second Iraq War was George "Worthless" Bush.
The first Iraq War was "George Herbert Walker Bush".

You only see the rocks, a very narrow vision like Yale Guen Mar. He
only sees girlfriends and vibrators....ROTFL.

You got the news that the non-existent WMD were moved to Syria from Frankie Lee?

And how much honor can politicians spin out of those rocks?

Some months back, an American analyst called Japan America's North Korea, that is, an ally that causes trouble (like North Korea causing trouble for China). He concluded by saying Japan could defend itself and America should not be sucked into a war with China.

Of course, things will be different if oil is found in the islands' vicinity. Then honor will be thrown to the winds, and losing thousands of American lives for some bullshit "national security interest" will be most honorable.
