If you wanna script games, learn Lua. It's used in:
Baldur's Gate (I and II)
Neverwinter Nights
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War
Angband
World of Warcraft
... and probably many, many, others. Those are just the ones where I've
actually written Lua programs.
