Ruby/Tk on 64 bit Centos 4.4

v.srikrishnan@gmail.com

2/4/2007 10:42:00 AM

Hi all,
I installed ruby 1.8.5 on Centos 4.4 running on Xeon processors.
Installation is very nice; no problems. make check/test was also ok.
however when i try to include tk, there is a problem:
irb(main):001:0> require 'tk'
LoadError: no such file to load -- tk
from (irb):1:in `require'
from (irb):1
however, there is a tk.rb at /usr/lib64/ruby/1.8/tk.rb.
so i gave the full path. then he same error is repeated with tcltk.rb
Could anyone help me out with this?
Thanks
krishnan

No, it's because you 'bats allowed the teachers unions to turn our
educational system into shit. If Johnny can't read, Johnny's getting a
good deal if he makes minimum wage.

Our dropout rate is twice that of the other developed countries. There's
no such thing as a tax system "progressive" enough to prevent the
rich/poor divide from growing under those circumstances.

Wake up and smell the fucking coffee, Ray.

That's not what the problem is with the educational system you
ignorant fuck. It's funding. You right wingers don't want to fund
the educational system instead you want to censor it. Right wingers
are completely anti-education because all the stats show the more
educated someone gets the less likely they are to be a conservative.

But of course I understand why you can't grasp the reality of this,
for what it's worth.

I love it when ignorant fucks call other people "ignorant fucks."

Here's the close, you ignorant fuck:

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/edu_spe_per_sec_sch_stu-spending-per-secondary-scho...

You can clearly see that Americans are spending more on a per-pupil
basis than everyone except for Switzerland and Austria.

Now go get mommy to dry your tears. Sucks to be embarrassed in public, I
know.

What a joke. You know damn well that without the uneducated urban poor
defining themselves as "liberal", you guys couldn't get a dogcatcher
elected.

You seem to forget that there was clearly a "conservative" effort
to infiltrate the school boards and PTO's so as to get 'faith-based'
educational agenda in place. That you're attempting to demonize
the "teachers unions" instead of the so-called "conservatives"
is just plain dishonest on your behalf..

And we're behind in math, sciences and engineering disciplines, why?

I think that the right-wing complains to much about the 'dumbing
down of America', if only to avoid being mentioned as the root cause..

Let me guess.. You're really bad at math..

In socialist hell-holes like Japan, elementary school teachers are
paid similar to, and given the respect of, doctors and lawyers.

Hence, no union squabbling over dwindling resources. And hence, no
blaming the union squabbling on the dwindling resource.

Hmm. Where have we seen THAT game before?

Meanwhile, "John Galt" fixates on the extreme rich with a sickening
reverse class envy...

There is indeed. However, social conservatives aren't really
conservatives, by definition, since issue conservatives lean libertarian
on such matters.

That you're attempting to demonize

Hang on.

The subject here is WHY a rich/poor divide exists. Whatever the socons
have done WRT faith-based education has been a failure 98% of the time.
ERGO, THEY cannot be at fault for the crappy state of our schools.
HOWEVER, the union presence in education is pervasive throughout, and
they consistently oppose accountability measures that look to improve
the state of HS education.

Therefore, it is certainly *not* dishonest to raise them as the cause,
just because some socons have failed at social

LOL. It's the right wing's fault because they've failed to get
faith-based curricula passed? :-)

All the 'bats say that. It allows them to avoid a rational discussion of
the issues. You're true to form.

How's that? If you oppose unionization, you're "a hate corrupted
asshole?" :-)

What a jerk you are.
