Re: Ruby and Continuous Integration

Thanks for the suggestion. ( :

Cerberus looks good but I don't think it can give me what I need. I've
used CruiseControl before, but not .NET so I should be familiar with it,
it's also one of the most "mature" and actively developed/maintained CI
tools out there.

Also the set up:

Rational ClearCase (version VERY old)
VB6
Built using batch files and more recently rake.
Rational Robot to automate tests (9 hours for all system tests)
Rational PureCoverage (runs stiltingly with robot)
Don't know for the unit testing!

So I've recently joined the team and been actioned with setting up CI
with this mixed bag... I am just looking for suggestions and experiences
to aid me.

Thanks again, hope this clarifies...

It appears the project is defunct or at least in hibernation. I can't
even get to the repository.

I haven't tried CruiseControl + Rake yet, but others have told me it's
possible. Another option I was just made aware of last week is
Cerberus[1]. Since then, I've also seen it mentioned in a blog and an
announcement of a new version on this list. So it seems pretty active.
It's still fairly new, but might be worth looking into. I'm planning on
checking it out this weekend.
