I have the following code which successfully controls the correct
method in my Controller. One huge question.... how do I retrieve the
value of the selection once the method in the controller has been
called?
<select name="selector" id="selector"
onchange="<%= remote_function(:update => 'flist',
:url => { :action => 'update_list'}) %>">
<% for x in @areas %>
<option value="<%= x.id %>" name="= x.area_name %> ">
<%= x.area_name %>
</option>
<% end %>
