Summer of Code

I hope that Ruby and perhaps some prominent projects (e.g. Rails) are
submitting applications to be mentoring organizations for Google's
Summer of Code 2006.

http://code.google.com/summero...

I would like to apply as a student, and it would be great to see some
Ruby representation in the mentoring organizations.

Since the gateway is down at the moment (hopefully not permanently??) you
might want to read this fairly active (and current) thread on the web:

I'm not sure how this post has threaded with the thread I posted before,
so I'll forward it here for anyone that's interested (I hope David doesn't
mind).
