Re: win32 openssl help request

Debaun, Steve

2/10/2006 2:28:00 AM

Hey, for anyone else who had this problem --

Rolling back to a clean, fresh ruby 1.8.2-15 fixed my problems.

Thanks again, bill -- when something don't work, its good to know that
somewhere, someone has it working. :)

Sorry I can't offer specific help, but I wanted to confirm that
I've been able to use OpenSSL/Ruby on Win32, both with SSLSocket,
and 'net/https'.

My net/https code looks similar to yours:

http = Net::HTTP.new(@sitename, 443)
http.use_ssl = true
resp, data = http.get(path, nil)

This is on:

WinXP Service Pack 2
ruby 1.8.2 (2004-12-25) [i386-mswin32]

I'm not sure which OpenSSL version... the ssleay32.dll and
libeay32.dll files don't seem to have any version information. :(

Regards,

Bill

When I took the oath to enlist I learn about acts of omission.
It is not enough to talk about acts of commission. Obama could
have talked about gun control couldn't he? He could have taken
steps like Bush did against our first ammendment rights but he
did not. In your example you talk about things you didn't do that
you couldn't do and equate that with things Obama could have done
but didn't do. They aren't equivalent. Your argument is fallacious.

I'm pretty sure it's better in this room where the fire has not
reached than in the hallway where it has. Sometimes a bad choice
is better than the alternatives.

Romney has Bush advisors on his team. When people talk about
Bush they aren't really talking about Bush, he wasn't the actual
leader. He was president but he was a figurehead for the puppet
masters. Romney is having the same strings attached. Sure Romney
is brighter than Bush and has actually taken money from the powerless
on his own but other than that he's a puppet waiting for directions.

I wish I knew how these children of the powerful have fallen so
easily into being controlled and how the controls are happening.
Are the puppet masters upstarts or multi-generational controllers
of their own?

I know I've branched into conspiracy territory. It seems interesting
to me that Obama brought in so many players with ties to the same
organizations as Bush. Maybe the play is nearing completion
and the curtain will soon be drawn.

all well said gary. obama is really bad, borderline stupid, but he is
not as bad as the tea party.

Typical. Wallow in your ignorance. You must not like the possibility of discovering the truth about
Dees.

The way you sling that word around shows you don't know what it means.

Have you worked up the balls to research Dees yet?

then you must agree with these statements correct?
"We must take from state authority those functions for which it is
incompetent and which it performs badly... I believe the state should
renounce its economic functions, especially those carried out through
monopolies, because the state is incompetent in such matters... We
must put an end to state railways, state postal service and state
insurance."
"hasten the privatization of municipal enterprises."
"We have broken with the practice of persecuting capital."

What fascists? Do they have a website?
