Wrong, he can request and require any information he desires, and he is
fully responsible for the conduct of his advisers. After all HE PICKED THEM.
If they are of the nature to hide things from him, then it's STILL his
responsibility.

Then clearly they are failing to exercise proper oversight and/or to bury
the people who fail to be open and forthright concerning their activities.
If these organizations are getting away with stuff, it's because they are
allowed to do so.
