Just came across an interesting reading from a Python guy, mentioning
Ruby (not very favorable, it seems) and Ruby on Rails (very favorable):

There are other articles from Ian Bicking about rails success.
and well, Ian is also becoming an usual reader/commenter of RedHanded :)
