I am eager for your book about Ruby/TK. I hope there is soon an english
or german translation available.
Some years ago i bought the John K. Ousterhout (1995) as reference and a
bit later the Brent B. Welch
example book. TK is just alive and most of the information is still
usable. Nevertheless its time for some
ruby/tk literature.
Then I can go the the new books index and look for update idletasks to
find the ruby/tk equivalent.
I use Tk.update so far. It works most of the time but not always. Some
gui parts are not redrawn
But maybe its a window managers problem.
