TraceExtension class File Locking?

A quick question in regards to the TraceExtension class as provided on MSDN.

I have implemented the extension on a one of our projects.

My question is:

Can this extension cause file locking on the text file in the case that the web service becomes busy? And thus cause exceptions to be thrown? I noticed that there is no exception handling in the example on MSDN?


If someone could clear up these queries that would be much appreciated!
