How to avoid panel-->table in Mozilla, Opera Browsers

I am using various DIVs with CSS and asp.panel for my pages.

Unforunately ASP.NET converts panels to tables instead of divs in Netscape
and Opera.

Is there a way to tell the Server to avoid Browser Detection?
