What is the difference between the smart server extentions and the mobile
asp pages.

What is the best way to create generic win apps and web apps on the Pocket
PC?

Joe,
The mobile controls are basically mobile versions of some of the
standard asp.net controls. they're still served up by a server but the
client will be mobile browser devices.

The smart device extensions (still in beta) help design applications
that work on multiple platforms using a compact version of the .net
framework.

the MMIT controls provide the widest usage array since they don't
require any of the .net framework on the client, but they do require an
internet connection. the SDE's work great if you need an adaptable
application that will conform to the hardware capabilities of the client,
though of course you need to make sure that the clients you want to support
are supported by the SDE.

Hope this helps,
