Frontpage /Access difficulty

Hi,

FP2003 & Access 2000

I have existing access database which I want to place on a website using FP.
When I go to the New Database Connection settings it does not show the *.mdb
file when browsing to the correct location. Is it because FP2003 cannot
include Access 2000 databases in which case I need to upgrade or is there
another option.

Thanks
Barry

Where are you putting the database?

Normally, you would:
1. Create a folder inside your Web site.
2. Drag the database file from Windows Explorer to the
FrontPage Folder list or Folders view.
3. FrontPage will then prompt you about creating the
database connection.

BTW, you should configure any folder containing a
datababse to be non-browsable. This prevents Web visitors
from specifying a URL like
http://www.mysite.com/fpdb/...
and downloading your entire database. To configure this,
open the production site in FrontPage, right-click the
fodler, choose Properties, and clear Allow Files To Be
Browsed.
