Mouse Over link

Hi

can anyone point me in the right direction I want to learn how to do a link
so that when you take your mouse over some text it then shows more text with
a link to another page? I will probably then want to have yet another lot
of text with another link.

Well similar to the Microsoft Technical Database when you put your mouse on
All Products you get a drop down box but I want it over on the left not at
the top. I will also want to be able to move to one of the options and then
get other options.
