Hi! I just bought FP 2003 and am very new to FP in general. I set up a
table to contain all the info and pictures on my page. It looks just fine,
but how do I get rid of all the extra space around the outside of the table?
My page is very long and very wide, and I don't want that, just what's in
the table. If I set an absolute size for the page, doesn't that make it so
it will not show up correctly on some computers? Thanks for your help!

In general terms, when a browser renders a web page the
width of the resultant page is determined by the width
and height of the content on that page. The widest
content will determine the width of the whole page. Same
for height.

If I go to any empty page in Front Page and Insert a
Table, it fills the width of the page. It does not
have "all the extra space around the outside of the
table". There is a LITTLE bit of space (you might go into
HTML mode and look for something there to change if this
is too much space for your desires).

If you place some content outside the table that is wider
than the table you will get the horizontal scroll bars
that allow you to scroll to view all of the content on
your page. In that case, the table will gain "all the
extra space around the outside of the table". In this
case, you would set your table to an absolute size and
position it left to avoid the visitor having to
horizontally scroll to view that table's contents.

I suggest you play around with the various properties a
bit to see what happens. I would suggest you do this on a
new page that you can delete from your site once you
reach guru status.
