Or, more generally: No matter what, you take only the best hand that
can be made with the best five cards. Cards six and seven don't matter.
So if you've got

2s 3s 4s 5s 7s Aq Ac

You've got a straight flush, and those Aces don't affect your hand at
all. So you'd be tied with:

2c 3c 4c 5c 7c 9q 9c

Question: the hands with less than four cards (Three of a kind, Pair and
High Card) take only one kicker, or all the remaining cards are used to
untie (?) a tie?

I believe all the remaining cards are kickers. See the example on this
