Hi Sean,

QUESTION
How mobile apps secure their communication channel?

ANSWER
The web server uses SSL just as is the case with other browsers (non-mobile
browsers). However, the mobile device cannot use SLL directly. The gateway
for that mobile device must translate the SSL stream to WTLS and not all
gateways support this functionality.
