Hello, I just installed the .net framework 2.0 successfully on our W2K
Professional Server. I just realized that 1.1 and 2.0 are different and
that 2.0 doesn't include 1.1 things. Is it ok for me to go ahead and
install 1.1 after I've already installed 2.0?

Thanks in advance,

J

Yep. They can be installed side-by-side.

Installing 1.1 AFTER 2.0 caused me some problems with VS 2005 deployment
projects (Windows Installer) -- the fix was to uninstall 2.0 and re-install
2.0 (this was on a test machine, not my dev machine).

I too will be installing VS 2005 on a new XP Pro system, but I still need to
support some ASP.Net 2003 web apps.

My plan now is to install 2003 with 1.1, then install VS 2005 with 2.0.

I might think that the installation order from older to the newer version
would be how MS might have spent the most time debugging and therefore I will
have fewer issues.

Any additional heads-up is appreciated....
