RubyForge themes

Howdy -

Eero Saynatkari has been working on a couple new RubyForge themes; you
can get an idea where he's going with them here:

http://support.rubyforge.org/t...
and here:
http://support.rubyforge.org/th...

Any comments on these would be welcome...

Yours,

Tom

I find this very classy, for what it's worth.

I love blue, but on this case it hurts the eye. The red is better there.

I like the red theme. It's more utilitarian and it cuts right to the
chase, not wasting valuable space on non-essential stuff. I don't like
the blue theme, both because it's hard to read the text against the blue
background and because blue is not a very rubyish theme :)

One other thing. It seems like the margins around different sections
are too big. Right now they are about 1.5 cm. I would reduce that to
5 or less.

maybe... too much red. Ok I know ruby is suypposed to be red, but imo
not everything on a web page has got to be red. It is a nice theme,
anyway. Maybe the fontsize of links could be a little bigger.

mh.. visited links are hard to read..

anyway, just my two cents, thanks for any effort :)

The red theme is much easier on the eyes.

Between the two I prefer the red; I'd concur with
others' remarks that it's easier on the eyes.

I wanted to mention that the font sizes on the page
appear to be fixed in a way that prevents my font
size preferences (in IE, View->Text Size->Larger)
from taking effect.

(No matter the font size setting, nothing on the page
changes.) . . . . This has the effect of kind of
cancelling out the "easy on the eyes" aspect, as I
have to squint to read the text. ;) But it looks
nice. :)

Regards,

Bill

red +1. The default font is really small of the several machines I
looked at it on. (Firefox). I know I can it, but ... just had to
mention.

I think it's nice, slim and to the point.

I agree about the font size and about the colour. It's nice, but too
much. Maybe some complementary or analogous colour or something?
