Merry Christmas,

We finally announce the release of final stable 1.8.2 at

ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/ruby-1....

This is mainly a bug fix release. The list of changes is
comming soon. the Md5 check sum is

918fc7e14305a08f5f0d81d7b0219c1b ruby-1.8.2.tar.gz

I forgot to check in last minute bug fixes. Blame me, I'm as stupid
as I am always. :-<

Can you re-fetch the 1.8.2 distribution?

1.8.2 2004-12-25 version is the right one.

The MD5SUM appears to be wrong; I have downloaded twice to make sure from

ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/ruby-1....

and got

8ffc79d96f336b80f2690a17601dea9b ruby-1.8.2.tar.gz

both times.

Can someone check? I want make a quick Christmas release of the Rubyx linux
distro with ruby 1.8.2
