MMIT - IIS5 - Internal Server Error (500)

Yannik Steiger

Hi All,
i try to run a mobilewebapp on an IIS5.
"Normal" webapps do run without problems.
But if I browse to my mobilewebapp the server returns
either "Unrecognized Content" or "Internal Server Error".

I have searched for days now, but nobody could tell me,
what exactly must be done to get this mobilewebapp run.

I guess, the trick is with the configuration of the IIS / W2K Server...

Thanks in advance
Yannik

Yannik,

First of all, I am assuming that You've installed both the .net Framework
and the Mobile Internet Toolkit on the server?

If so, disable the "Friendly HTTP Error Message" in IE (Tools > Internet
Options > Advanced > Take the checkbox off the 'Show Friendly HTTP Error
Messages'), which should give you a much more descriptive error that what
you are getting right now.

If you've done both of the above and are still having problems, please post
your code...

Anil
