Hi,

We would like to use the barcode scanning capability on
our target mobile devices. Is there any scanning support
in MMIT?

Thanks,
Heidi Lam

Scanning is a 'client-side' behavior, or I should say hardware-dependent.
You have to see what kind of 'software' the PDA has or is included in its
SDK to capture barcodes. Oftentimes, it's as simple as setting an option or
running a program in the background that puts the barcode input into the
current application (textbox, Word doc. etc.)

There are PPC HW vendor that have the capability of scaning a bar code and
entered in a textbox of a browser. You could check that at
http://www.po...

Hopes this helps

Is there one for Palm? Most of our clients use Symbol's Palm handhelds because of the 2D barcode scanners.

Thanks.
