This is getting close to solving my problem. I am using vb.net to code
(ASP.NET) with and I am unsure how to implement your function -

protected override void OnViewStateExpire(EventArgs e)

Does this trap for the viewstate error or reset the viewstate after the
error has occured? How is this implemented in the MMIT page.
