Hello. in doing mobile web applications using the Mobile
Internet toolkit and VS .net, do i need the mobile
information server installed or will Internet Information
server serve the purpose in development work such as
examining the results of a piece of code? thanks.

Mobile Information Server is a product that links mobile devices with a
user's e-mail/information system. MMIT is an ad-on ontop of the .NET
Framework (which runs on top of IIS).

In short, you just need IIS with the .NET Framework installed (with MMIT
installed on top) in order to run MMIT applications developed in VS.NET.
