I need some clarification on the Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC certification
requirements. Specifcially the requirement for the Global New menu that
appears to have been removed in Mobile 5.0 but still exists in Pocket PC
2003.
We would rather not have to support the Global New menu especially since it
does seem to be support in the Mobile 5.0. In addition there are no examples
of how to code to this process in the .NET Compact Framework.
The listing is in the doc: Designed for WIndows Mobile Software Applications
Handbook for Pocket PCs on page 7. Required: Display New and SIP Button
Controls Only in the Standard Locations. It is strongly recommended that any
application that has the ability to create new data objectgs use a New button
in the same lcoation and suport the Pocket PC glbal New Functionality for
users who have this feature turned on.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
