Richard,
MS have released v1.0 of the ODBC.NET provider, how ever depending on you
database, the empty string issue may still be a problem. According to MS
any ODBC3.0 compliant driver will work fine, no guarantees for any lesser
driver.
I think people on Oracle and Sybase have seen an improvement, but I know I
haven't with Ingres............
