Thank you very much for your response. Finally figured out the solution.
After I could not install .net 3.5 because 3.0 was not in the system. But I
could not install 3.0 because I didnt have enough permission. Eventhough I
was the Administrator of the machine, it was connectd to the domain. .Net
3.0 usually install a patch for the operating system. For that I need to be
the network administrator. When my network administrator installed .net
3.5, without any problem he was able to install it. When you install .net
3.5 on a machine which doesnt have .net 3.0 SP2, you would need network
administrator help to install it or you should have enough previlege to
install it. Otherwise, you should remove that machine off of the domain and
install .net 3.5 as administrator, and plug it back on to the domain.
