SP1 for FrameWork3.5 on WINXP - fails on install

i am not being able to install SP1 for FrameWork 3.5 on winxp.
i always get :

I am having this same issue, I have tried several of the suggestions. I have
even uninstall all of the VS 2005 Express Editions and All of .Net Framework.

I am unable to install XP SP3, IE8, and .NET 3.5 and of course .NET 3.5 SP1.

I even saw someone say to set Windows Installer to Manual, well it is and
has been.

Here is the end of my erro Log.

the only way was to format the compouter and install al the Frame works from
scratch :(
