hi,
we r working(testing) in a proxy server ....where it has a option
called destination mapping...in this there r 2 options .....that is
"name and dest"....in this we give "name" (url's) for mapping ..for
eg...when i give www.yahoo.com as "map from" and www.rediffmail.com
as "mapto".....and if i give www.yahoo.com in my browser it will map to
www.rediffmail.com and the site rediffmail.com will be visited
!!!!......that is the result we expect....
at the same time if i give the "dest" ip address of yahoo as
"map from" and rediffmail as "mapto".....the ipaddress is not mapped
and the www.yahoo.com is displayed instead of rediffmail.com in my
browser(ie).....
i don't know what's the reason.......can anybody eplain it
technically and give me a solution.....thank ...u...
